I decided to make a copy of George Harts Frabjous. This version with tabs came from thingiverse and it was only modified to scale it down for 3mm laser ply. It works but I think a larger size would be easier to assemble.
Iron man arc reactors have sold pretty well for me over the past few years, I even made enough pocket money to pay for the laser cutter that started this crazy blog so it seems only right that I revisit the little arc reactor with the new tools available to me. I found some awesome, laser cuttable metallic plastic from Rowmark. They were kind enough to send me some samples to try and I managed to make this. I'm calling it the Mk2 to provide clear separation from the previous version (shown right at the end of the post). A significant improvement I'm sure you'll agree. These photos were all taken in a well lit room. Arc reactors have their own legacy page available here Or a more direct paypal link to purchase this arc reactor here
Looks like this one nearly escaped the write up. Tree asked if it was possible to make a rubbing plate, 30 minutes later I guess the answer is yes. I'm now interested to see what Tree wants to use this technique for.
